Thank you for coming out to parent/teacher conferences yesterday. I hope everyone has a relaxing break! We return to school on Monday, October 26th.

Oct. 16=Live e-Learning from 8-11

Oct. 19-23=Fall Break

Oct. 26=Financial Aid night from 5:30-6:30 in the media center

Oct. 27=ASVAB for juniors and any seniors who want to take it

Seniors, FAFSA is now open!

Attention SENIORS and families -

The 2027–2028 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now officially open!

LHS is partnering with INvestEd Indiana to host a Financial Aid Information Session and FAFSA Completion Workshop on Monday, October 26, 2026, in the LHS Media Center at 5:30 pm.

Please bring a Chromebook or laptop and join us for help and information from these financial aid experts!

Our Build Your Future (BYF) Trades Day picnic tables are officially up for auction!

These tables have a special story:

Built by the PHMS Class of 2030 during the 2025 BYF Trades Day.
Stained and finished by the PHMS and Lapel Classes of 2031 during the 2026 BYF Trades Day.

Now they're ready for a new home! Each table represents the hard work and hands-on skills of our local students.

Bring home a one-of-a-kind picnic table while supporting a great cause! Auction proceeds will support the Madison County Builders Association (MCBA) and help fund future BYF Trades Day events, giving more students opportunities to explore careers in the skilled trades.

Yard Sign Fundraiser for Softball

LHS Softball is doing a yard sign fundraiser!

There are signs for all sports, one for Seniors, and one for a general supporter!

Chromebook Insurance

Chromebook Insurance is highly recommended and still available to purchase for the 2026-27 school year. The required form is available in the LHS Office. Students may pick up the form in the LHS Media Center. The cost is $40 per Chromebook, and payment may be sent to school with the student. Cash or checks written to Lapel High School are accepted in the LHS Office during school hours.
