Message from the Office

Another great week of school is complete. Looking ahead, Jostens will be meeting with freshmen on Tuesday, September 15th to talk about class rings. They will also meet with seniors that day to talk about Graduation announcements, caps and gowns. We will have a new gown design this year that we are excited about.
Thank you for your support so far this school year.

Athletic Activities for Next Week

Frankton Lapel Marching Band

Congratulations to our Marching Band for finishing the season with a GOLD rating at ISSMA Summer Showcase! The Frankton Lapel Marching Band also earned WITH DISTINCTION in Visual for their performance of "Fractured." 
Come and see them perform at halftime of the Frankton vs. Lapel football game tonight!

Class Dues and Homecoming Dance

Any Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior or Senior need to make sure your class dues are paid. $20 per year. Please pay your class sponsor.
Future dates- Homecoming dance will be  Saturday, September 26 from 7:00-9:00PM. 

Heart of Healthcare Event

Students are invited to attend the Heart of Healthcare event at the Heart Hospital on September 30th, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This will be a fun and interactive event giving students an inside look at a wide variety of healthcare careers, including pharmacy, nursing, radiology, facilities, behavioral health, and more!
Students will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities such as intubation demonstrations, pharmacy compounding, interactive clinical skills, and other engaging learning stations designed to bring healthcare careers to life. Our goal is to provide students with unique opportunities to explore a variety of career paths, connect with healthcare professionals, and learn about the many opportunities available within the healthcare field.
Date & Time: September 30th, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Location: 8075 Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, IN. 46250

Chromebook Insurance

Chromebook Insurance is highly recommended and still available to purchase for the 2026-27 school year. The required form is available in the LHS Office. Students may pick up the form in the LHS Media Center.   The cost is $40 per Chromebook, and payment may be sent to school with the student. Cash or checks written to Lapel High School are accepted in the LHS Office during school hours. Please review the Chromebook Insurance policy posted on the Technology & Data Solutions page of the FLCS public website at https://www.flcs.k12.in.us/91494_2

Performances are November 6-7. See flyer for audition information! Auditions are open to all students in grades 2-12.
